Dhaka, Feb. 24 -- A 22-member 'unique' delegation, consisting of leaders from eight political parties, is set to embark on an 11-day visit to China tonight (Monday night), at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The delegation included leaders from BNP, Jatiya Nagorik Committee, and Students against Discrimination as well as some scholars and two journalists, reports UNB.
Chinese authorities have said this visit is part of their strategy to strengthen multi-party relations with Bangladesh following the July-August political changeover.
The delegation, led by BNP Standing Committee member Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, is scheduled to depart from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 10:40 pm.
