Dhaka, May 25 -- Eastern Bank PLC (EBL), as the lead bank, organised a School Banking conference in Rangpur on May 24, 2025, with the participation from 45 banks operating in the district.

According to a press release, the event was held under the guidance of Bangladesh Bank as part of its nationwide initiative to foster financial inclusion and literacy among students.

The conference, held at the Rangpur Zilla Parishad Community Centre, brought together around 300 students and teachers from 45 schools across the district. The primary objective was to educate students on the importance of savings and nurture a savings-oriented mindset from an early age.
