Dhaka, March 28 -- Tremors were felt in various parts of the country, including Dhaka and Chattogram, on Friday.
The earthquake was experienced around 12:25 pm which lasted only a few seconds, as per local media reports.
However, there have been no reports of casualties as of the time this report was filed.
Md Rubayet Kabir, the acting officer of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's Earthquake Observation and Research Center, confirmed the information.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake originated 16 km NNW of Sagaing, Myanmar.
