Dhaka, June 23 -- A special seminar, titled 'Let's Abandon the Use of Plastic, Build a Green Campus Free of Pollution and Plastic', was held at Dhaka University (DU) on Sunday on the occasion of World Environment Day.

The seminar took place at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building. It was jointly organised by the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Law, Environment Union, and Green Future Foundation.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan attended the event as the chief guest. Among other distinguished attendees were Prof. Sayema Haque Bidisha, DU Pro-VC (Administration), and Dr. M Jasim Uddin, Director of Arboriculture Centre.
