Dhaka, Feb. 2 -- Nearly 50 people have been injured in a stampede after a drone plummeted to the ground with a resounding crash during the concluding prayers of Biswa Ijtema.

On Sunday morning, at least 41 of the injured were rushed to Tongi Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital, where they received primary treatment, reports bdnews24.com.

Md Mostafizur Rahman, a doctor of the hospital's emergency department, said: "As far as I know, a drone used by a journalist to capture the Ijtema Maidan prayer crashed into the ground. Many people were injured while running away in panic."
