Dhaka, Feb. 28 -- Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) requested all authorities concerned not to work on roads for utility purposes during the holy month of Ramadan to ease public suffering.

Ramadan is expected to begin on March 02, and during this period, as well as the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr, the movement of people and traffic in Dhaka Metropolitan City is expected to increase, according to a DMP statement on Thursday, reports UNB.

Most people will conduct their activities between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, resulting in potential traffic congestion on the roads throughout Ramadan, it said.
