Dhaka, June 8 -- More than a hundred people have been treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) after sustaining injuries from sharp tools while slaughtering and butchering sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha.

Mushtak Ahmed, the hospital's resident surgeon, confirmed that the injured individuals came from Dhaka and surrounding areas throughout the day on Saturday, seeking emergency treatment, according to bdnews24.com.

"Most of those who required medical attention were seasonal butchers," Mushtak said.

"From morning to evening, over a hundred people arrived at our emergency unit with injuries caused by sharp instruments while performing Eid sacrifices."
