Dhaka, July 5 -- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Friday said that dispute between two brothers was behind the heinous rape of a woman in Cumilla's Muradnagar upazila and circulation of the incident's video.

RAB-11 Commanding Officer (CO) HM Sazzad Hossain disclosed the matter at a press briefing at the RAB media centre on Friday.

On July 3, RAB arrested Md Shah Poran, 28, from the Kabir Bazar area under Burichang Police Station. Shah Poran is the younger brother of the prime accused, Fazar Ali.

During interrogation, the arrested suspect confessed to planning the attack and encouraging others to record and spread the video as part of a personal vendetta against his elder brother.
