Dhaka, Oct. 23 -- In a move to mitigate the disruption caused by the recent fire at the Cargo Village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA), the authorities have announced that Dhaka Customs House will remain operational 24/7 on Friday and Saturday (October 25-26).

An official order issued on Wednesday by Joint Commissioner of Customs, Suman Das, directed all relevant customs personnel to remain on duty during this period to ensure uninterrupted customs clearance services.

The extended operations are aimed at supporting import and export activities and maintaining trade continuity following the fire which severely disrupted air cargo handling facilities.
