Dhaka, Jan. 15 -- D.Net has appointed Professor Dr Shah Md Ahsan Habib as chairperson of its governing body, effective January 1, 2026, according to a press release.

A co-founder of D.Net, Habib brings experience in academia, policy research, governance and development finance. He is currently a professor (selection grade) at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) and is known for work on banking, inclusive finance, SME development and green banking, the release said.

Alongside his role at D.Net, he serves as an independent director of IPDC Finance PLC and is a member of the company's board audit committee and risk management committee, it added.
