Dhaka, May 6 -- The Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) has resumed operational activities of its self-funded export-oriented container scanner.

CPA has taken the initiative as a part of the implementation of the ISPS Code, which will play an important role in ensuring the security of international trade.

CPA Chairman Rear Admiral SM Moniruzzaman officially inaugurated the resumption of operational activities of the export-oriented container scanner on Sunday. The Commissioner of Chittagong Customs House, CPA members, Director Security, Secretary of CPA and other senior officials of the port and customs were present at the inauguration ceremony.
