Dhaka, Feb. 20 -- Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) has launched an online gate pass system to streamline the transport of import and export goods.

CPA Chairman Rear Admiral SM Moniruzzaman officially inaugurated the system on Tuesday as the chief guest.

The new system will reduce both time and traffic congestion at the prime seaport of the country.

With this digital initiative, the process of moving goods in and out of the port will become more efficient, expediting container operations.

The Terminal Operating System (TOS) of Chittagong seaport now includes this online gate pass feature, developed with technical assistance from DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Limited.
