Dhaka, July 2 -- A Dhaka court on Wednesday scrapped bail plea filed by former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda in a case lodged for manipulating the national election.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sefatullah passed the order as Huda's counsel filed the plea before the court, reports BSS.
Earlier on July 1, KM Nurul Huda gave confessional statement in the case. Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ziadur Rahman recorded Huda's statement under section 164 as the police produced him before the court after the end of his four-day remand in the case and pleaded to record his statement.
