Dhaka, Dec. 23 -- A Dhaka court has directed that household items seized from the Gulshan flats of former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Benazir Ahmed, including used and unused clothes, kitchen appliances, crockery and other consumables, be handed over to the Chief Adviser's Relief Fund instead of being auctioned.
The decision came after the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) submitted an application on 26 October, requesting that the auction-worthy items be sent for the relief initiative, said the ACC at a press briefing on Monday.
The court heard the petition, along with all supporting documents, before issuing its order.
