Dhaka, April 10 -- A Dhaka court on Thursday ordered freezing of 18 bank accounts of former social welfare minister Dr Dipu Moni over graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, accepting a petition from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), reports BSS.
The anti-graft body in its plea said the ACC has already formed a team to probe allegations against the former minister.
"During the investigation, it was learned that the accused might attempt to transfer her movable properties; therefore, her bank accounts should be frozen in the interest of justice," the petition stated.
