Dhaka, March 25 -- A Dhaka court on Monday ordered attaching assets owned by cricketer and former Awami League lawmaker Shakib Al Hasan in a case involving two bounced cheques at IFIC Bank.
Judge Md Ziadur Rahman of the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court passed the order after hearing a petition seeking attachment of assets.
SM Alamgir Hassan, chief law officer of the IFIC Bank, confirmed the court order to the FE.
Earlier on January 19, the same court issued an arrest warrant against Shakib and another in the case. It also asked the police to submit a report by March 24 complying with the arrest-warrant order.
