Dhaka, April 20 -- A Dhaka court on Sunday ordered the freezing of 45 bank accounts and the attachment of four flats belonging to former state minister for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid over graft allegations.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea from the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), reports BSS.
The court also ordered the seizure of three Land Cruiser SUVs belonging to the former state minister.
The anti-graft body in its plea said it has received information of amassing huge illegal wealth by Nasrul Hamid, and he may try to sell, hand over, or transfer the movable and immovable properties to hamper the ongoing investigation against him.
