Dhaka, Oct. 12 -- A Dhaka court on Sunday cancelled a plea of former minister Asaduzzaman Noor in a case lodged by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for amassing illegal wealth.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Sabbir Faiz passed the order as Noor's counsel moved the plea before the court, reports BSS.
According to the case documents, the former minister amassed an illegal wealth of Tk 53.7 million and kept that under his possession. The ACC also found evidence of suspicious transactions of Tk 1.58 billion in 19 bank accounts of Noor.
ACC deputy director Md Azizul Haque filed the case against Asaduzzaman Noor on July 30, 2025.
