Dhaka, April 15 -- Costly cooking oil gets even costlier as the government and refiners raised the maximum retail price of soybean oil by Tk 14 a litre to Tk 189.

The MRP of loose soybean oil has been fixed at Tk 169 a litre.

Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin announced the new pricing at a press briefing following a meeting with local refiners and edible-oil traders held at the Secretariat on Tuesday.
