Bangladesh, Jan. 17 -- All coaching centres will remain closed during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations scheduled to begin February 1, Education Minister Dipu Moni said Thursday.
"The goal is to ensure free and fair examination atmosphere," she told the media at the Secretariat.
She said the coaching centres will remain closed from January 25 to February 25. The minister also urged everyone not to pay heed to rumours.
More than two million students are expected to take part in the SSC and equivalent examinations. Among the candidates, 10,24,363 are male and 10,23,416 female. The examinations will be held at 3,512 centres in 28,884 institutions.
