Dhaka, May 20 -- The Dhaka University (DU) unit of the Bangladesh Democratic Students' Union (BDSU), also known as Bangladesh Gonotantrik Chhatra Sangsad, has submitted a memorandum to the university administration calling for immediately removing the floating people and vagabonds from the campus on security grounds.

A delegation of the organisation handed over the memorandum to the university proctor, Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed, on Monday saying that removal of the individuals perceived as unwanted or disruptive is urgently needed for the students' safety on the campus.

The memorandum also included four other related demands.
