Dhaka, Feb. 20 -- Bangladesh have won the toss and opted to bat first against India in their Champions Trophy opener in Dubai.

The game is set to start at 3:00 pm Bangladesh time at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

With Pakistan hosting the tournament, India are scheduled to play all their matches of the Champions Trophy, which returns to the calendar after eight years, in Dubai including the final should they make it, bdnews24.com reports.

Bangladesh fans will have their eyes on Tanzid Hasan at the top of the batting order.

The team played their last ODI in December 2024, losing a series 0-3 to the West Indies, who failed to qualify for the Champions Trophy.
