Dhaka, March 12 -- The central bank on Wednesday reconstituted the boards of three private commercial banks (PCBs) -- Meghna Bank, NRB Commercial Bank and NRB Bank -- after dissolving previous ones.

Bangladesh Bank (BB) spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan told the FE that each of the boards comprises seven new directors.

Each bank will have a chairman from their newly-appointed directors, he said, adding that the next course of action will be announced on Thursday.

The central bank removed the Parvez Tamal-led NRBC Bank board, the Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman-led NRB Bank board, and the HN Ashequr Rahman-led Meghna Bank board.
