Dhaka, Dec. 11 -- Canada has denied entry to disgraced Bangladesh politician and lawmaker Murad Hasan, who was last week made to step down as the state minister for information and broadcasting over his indecent remarks on women.

The Canada Border Service Agency refused to let him in as he landed in Toronto Pearson International Airport on Saturday noon (local time), Notun Desh, a news portal based in Canada, reported quoting several people, living in Canada, close to Mr Murad.

However, no official information about this was immediately available from Canada's federal law enforcement agency that facilitates the flow of legitimate travellers and trade in the North American country, according to the report.
