Dhaka, Aug. 31 -- Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to hold meetings today (Sunday) with Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the National Citizen Party, before sitting with BNP leaders.
The discussions in the three separate meetings will focus on the current political situation and the upcoming national election, scheduled to be held in February, as per a UNB report.
On Saturday, the interim government reiterated in its strongest terms that the national election will be held on time, in the first half of February 2026.
