Dhaka, Oct. 15 -- A chemical expert team of the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) led by a BUET teacher Yeasir Arafat on Wednesday visited the fire site at Mirpur.

During the visit, they collected samples from the spot, media officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) Talha Bin Zasim said, reports BSS.

The team will submit a report to the fire service, he said.

At least 16 people have so far been killed in the fire that erupted in a RMG factory and a chemical warehouse in Sialbari, Rupnagar, in Mirpur on Wednesday afternoon.

The bodies were sent to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
