Dhaka, Feb. 24 -- By-elections to two parliamentary constituencies - Bogura-6 and Sherpur-3 -- are likely to be held on April 09 next.

The Election Commission is considering April 9 as the tentative date to hold by-elections in the two constituencies, an EC official said on Tuesday.

He said the schedule for the by-polls is likely to be announced on Tuesday, reports bdnews24.com.

Earlier on Sunday, Election Commissioner Rahmanel Masud said the Election Commission will hold by-elections to two parliamentary seats -- Bogura-6 and Sherpur-3-- by April 14 next.
