Dhaka, Feb. 25 -- BNP vice chairman and former minister Abdullah Al Noman died early on Tuesday.

He breathed his last at 6:00 am in a private hospital in the capital. The information has been confirmed by the BNP chairperson's media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan, according to local media reports.

Shayrul said that Abdullah Al Noman suddenly fell ill at his residence in Dhanmondi early this morning. He was immediately taken to Square Hospital, where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
