Dhaka, May 19 -- Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Sunday announced the suspension of its direct flights on the Dhaka-Narita-Dhaka route, effective from July 1.

The national flag carrier has made the decision due to operational constraints stemming from ongoing Hajj operations, shortage of aircraft in the Biman fleet, and the financial viability of this route, said a press release of the airlines.

Passengers who have already purchased tickets for flights on or after July 1 will be eligible for a full refund or a ticket reissuance without any deduction, the airlines said.

Biman has requested affected travellers to contact their respective sales offices, ticket counters, or authorised agents to process refunds or rebooking.
