Dhaka, Jan. 30 -- Biman Bangladesh Airlines suspended its flights on Dhaka-Sylhet-Manchester route from May 1 to July 10 this year, aiming to free up aircraft for transporting Hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

The return flights on this route will also remain suspended for the same period, according to a press release issued by Biman's General Manager (Public Relations) Boshra Islam.

"Biman Bangladesh Airlines has taken a plan to operate Hajj flights with the highest priority like every year to make the journey of the Hajj pilgrims smooth and comfortable," the press statement said.

The changes in the availability of flights were made considering the demand of passengers on different routes, according to the statement.
