Dhaka, Jan. 1 -- Bangladesh's state-owned carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines posted a net profit of Tk 7.85 billion (Tk 785.21 crore) in fiscal 2024-25, nearly tripling its earnings from a year earlier, as higher passenger traffic and tighter cost controls boosted the airline's financial performance, officials said.

The airline also recorded an operating profit of Tk 16.02 billion (Tk 1,602 crore) during the same period, while total revenue rose 9.46 per cent year-on-year to Tk 115.59 billion (Tk 11,559 crore) - the highest in its history.
