Dhaka, June 4 -- Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the sole ground handler at the country's airports, eyes a 30 per cent rise in its handling of both domestic and international cargoes to reach 0.434 million tonnes this year.
Biman handled 0.334 million metric tons of international and domestic cargo in 2019, it said in a press release.
It has also planned to raise its cargo transportation capacity to 0.663 million tonnes by 2035.
Biman provides ground handling services at all
airports across the country, it said, adding that the national carrier currently serves as the designated cargo handling agent for 48 international airlines.
