Dhaka, Feb. 24 -- The Biman Bangladesh Airlines dismissed misinformation on social media about the emergency landing of Dhaka-Dubai flight BG 347 in India last week.

The plane, with 396 passengers, 22 tonnes of cargo and 12 crew members aboard, took off from Dhaka at 8:40 pm on February 19 and landed in Nagpur around midnight Indian time, according to a statement.

The captain received a fire warning signal in the cockpit from the rear cargo compartment while passing Nagpur city of Maharashtra. At that time, the passengers were being served with dinner.
