Dhaka, March 18 -- A 40-year lease renewal agreement for rubber plantations has been signed between the Bangladesh Forest Industries Development Corporation (BFIDC) and the Forest Department for revenue growth and climate protection.
Over the years, the Forest Department has officially transferred 38,184.48 acres of land for 18 rubber plantations to BFIDC.
The agreement signing ceremony took place on Tuesday at the environment ministry's conference room at the Secretariat.
The event was graced by the chief guest, Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the ministry.
