Dhaka, Jan. 11 -- A child has reportedly been killed in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf after being struck by gunfire coming from across the border in Myanmar.

The deceased was identified as Afnan, 12, the daughter of Mohammad Jasim from Ward No. 3 of Whykong Union, reports bdnews24.com.

The incident occurred early on Sunday morning in the Whykong area near the border, according to Teknaf Police Station chief (OC) Saiful Islam.
