Dhaka, Dec. 23 -- Bangladesh's interim government has once again summoned Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma to express concern over the recent protests near the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi and the vandalism of a Bangladesh visa centre in Siliguri.
Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam called in the Indian envoy on Tuesday to convey Dhaka's concerns, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In a statement, the ministry said the interim government had conveyed its "grave concern" over what it described as acts carried out by "extremist elements". It also raised alarm over "violent protests" staged outside several Bangladeshi diplomatic missions in India, reports bdnews24.com.
