Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- A 15-day training workshop on wood carving began on Sunday at the National Art Gallery auditorium under the auspices of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) and organized by its Training Division.

The inaugural ceremony was held at 12 pm on Sunday, UNB reports.

Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed (poet Rezauddin Stalin), Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, attended the event as the chief guest. Shaheen Dill-Riaz, Director of the Training Division, delivered the welcome speech.

The workshop's chief instructor, Dr Pintu Chandra Dev, and assistant instructor, Dr Md Mofidul Alam Khan, were also present.
