Dhaka, Feb. 26 -- Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam on Wednesday said the way Bangladesh's economy has made a turnaround within six months is just a 'miracle'.

"I will tell that a miracle, the way the economy has rebounded, is just a miracle," he said while addressing a Development Journalists' Forum of Bangladesh (DJFB) talk held at the NEC auditorium at the Planning Commission in Dhaka, reports UNB.

He said the interim government inherited an economy on the brink of collapse. "The economy was in a fragile state and on the verge of total collapse."

Despite the challenges, the interim government stabilised the economy in just six months, turning it around from its precarious condition, said the press secretary.
