Dhaka, June 23 -- Bangladesh's apparel exports to the European Union (EU) have surged to $8.07 billion during the January-April period of 2025 up from $6.51 billion during the same period in 2024.
The country's readymade garment exports in the same period grew by 23.98%, supported by a strong 19.71% increase in volume. Additionally, there was a 3.57% increase in unit price, showcasing balanced growth in export amount, volume, and price in the EU market, reports BSS.
According to Eurostat, in January-April 2025, the EU experienced significant growth, with a 14.21% increase amounting to $32.49 billion from global trade. This growth was accompanied by a notable 15.84% spike in volume and a 1.41% decrease in average unit prices.
