Dhaka, May 12 -- Bangladesh received US $922 million in inward remittance in the first 11 days of May, according to a revised update released by Bangladesh Bank on Monday evening.

This marks an increase from $814 million received during the same period in 2024, reflecting a 13.3 percent year-on-year growth in remittance inflow for May 1-11, UNB reports.

From July 2024 to 7 May 2025-the current fiscal year (FY 2024-25)-Bangladesh received a record $25.46 billion in remittances. In comparison, the country received $19.72 billion during the same period in the previous fiscal year (July 2023 to 7 May 2024), indicating a 27.7 percent rise in remittance inflow.
