Dhaka, May 25 -- Bangladesh Railway on Sunday morning started selling advance train tickets for June 4 journey ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.

This year to ease the process for passengers, 100 per cent of tickets for regular intercity trains are being sold online, with no sales at station counters, as per a UNB report.

The online-based ticket sales for the Western region began at 8:00 am and while the Eastern region will start at 2:00 pm.

Ten special trains will operate across five routes and those will run from June 4 to 6 and again from June 9 to 14, with some trains running even on Eid day.

Unlike regular services, tickets for special trains will only be available at station counters and not online.
