Dhaka, April 1 -- Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has said peace is extremely important in the country so that people can live and move without any fear.

"Peace in Bangladesh is extremely important. We need to keep it in mind always. We want peace in the country. We want peace for the nation and we want peace for the whole world," he said.

The Chief Adviser made the remarks at a function held at the Chief Adviser's Office (CAO) in Tejgaon on Monday where he exchanged Eid greetings with dignitaries, UNB reports.

Advisers, chiefs of three services, politocal leaders, diplomats, members of National Consensus Commission, civil society members and journalists were present.
