Dhaka, April 24 -- Bangladesh Embassy in Japan today launched e-passport service for the expatriate Bangladeshi nationals residing there.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Adviser M Siraz Uddin Miah inaugurated the initiative at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tokyo today (Thursday), BSS reports citing a message.
Speaking on the occasion, he said travel and immigration from Japan will be easier once the e-passport service is introduced.
He said the government has taken various steps for the welfare of the expatriates.
"The government has resolved the long-standing complaints of expatriates about getting passports on time in different countries. Now expatriates are getting passports in a short time," Mia said.
