Dhaka, May 6 -- The IMF said on Tuesday that it is holding talks with the Bangladeshi authorities to further advance the ongoing reforms under the $4.7 billion lending arrangement.

"(Discussions) are currently ongoing virtually on the parameters and policies needed to sustain reform momentum under the programme," an IMF spokesperson told The Financial Express.

She also said that discussions with Bangladeshi authorities toward reaching an agreement also took place during the 2025 IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, DC, in late April.
