Dhaka, July 21 -- A training aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has crashed in the capital. The aircraft went down on Monday (July 21) afternoon on the campus of Milestone College in the Diabari area of Uttara.

In a brief statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the F-7 BGI aircraft took off at 1:06 pm.

According to initial reports, the jet crashed onto the roof of the college canteen at around 1:20 pm, causing a fire.

Three units from the Fire Service are currently working at the scene, with two more units heading to the scene.

No information about casualties was immediately available.
