Dhaka, Dec. 7 -- Non-resident ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bangladesh, Elchin Huseynli today (Sunday) said that efforts are underway to open an Azerbaijani embassy here after the upcoming general election in Bangladesh.
The envoy made the remarks at a meeting today when Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, daughters of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, paid a call on Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna, BSS reports.
The Chief Adviser's Press Wing said that the move followed the Chief Adviser's request to President Aliyev last November, noting that an embassy in Dhaka would elevate bilateral relations to new heights.
