Dhaka, March 30 -- Assailants have killed two people after chasing a car and shooting the victims in broad daylight in Chattogram.

Two others were injured in the incident that occurred at Chawkbazar's Chandanpura in the port city early on Sunday morning.

The dead were identified as Bakhteyar Hossain Manik and Md Abdullah, both between 30 and 36 years of age.

The injured were identified by single names as Robin and Hridoy.

Chawkbazar Police Station chief Zahidul Kabir told bdnews24.com that assailants gave chase to a car carrying the victims from Baklia Rajakhali Bridge and shot them on the Chandanpura-Baklia Access Road.
