Dhaka, Feb. 16 -- Shiuly Akter, 32, one of the 11 victims who sustained burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast in Savar died while undergoing treatment at a Dhaka hospital early Sunday.
DR Shawon Bin Rahman, resident surgeon at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka, said Shiuly had suffered burn injuries on 95 per cent of her body in Friday night's fire, as per a UNB report.
The fire occurred when a gas cylinder exploded inside a flat while family members were making rice cakes (pitha) in Gomail area of Ashulia. The victims included four children.
