Dhaka, March 6 -- A Dhaka court on Thursday issued arrest warrant against e-commerce platform Qcoom's chairman Md Ayub Ali and its managing director (MD) Md Ripon Miah in a fraud case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Joshita Islam passed the order as the accused failed to appear before the court for today's hearing, complainant's counsel Sakibul Islam told BSS news agency.

Complainant Mehedi Hasan Foysal, owner of 3S Corporation BD, made an order of Tk 8.24 million (Tk 82.44 lakh) from Qcoom's "Big Billion Returns" campaign on June 27, 2021. He was supposed to get the products under his order within 21 to 25 working days, but the online shopping platform failed to do this.
