Dhaka, March 25 -- Bangladesh Army Chief, General Waker-Uz-Zaman gas described the July mass uprising as a landmark event in the nation's history.

He made these remarks during a ceremony to honor the July warriors at the Army Multipurpose Complex in Dhaka on Tuesday, UNB reports.

The Army Chief referred to the warriors who participated in the July Uprising as a source of national pride.

He highlighted the role of the youth in the movement, saying, "The youth not only participated but also inspired us by demonstrating how to make just claims and achieve them through truth and righteousness."

He added that the Bangladesh Army has always been supportive of the July fighters in fulfilling their dreams.
